This walking tour, “Mughal Matriarchs,” delves into the remarkable contributions of the women of the Mughal dynasty.
From the very inception of the Mughal dynasty, the women played pivotal roles in the empire’s culture, politics, and legacy. Be it Khanzada Begum, Mumtaz Mahal, Noor Jahan, or Jahanara Begum, they were not only some of the most cultured and educated individuals of their time but also wielded significant influence in shaping the Mughal legacy.
As we wander through the heritage of Itmad-Ud-Daula, we’ll focus on Mariam-uz-Zamani, the queen consort of Mughal Emperor Akbar.
